I was born in Seville, Spain, in the summer of 1979. From a very young age I became interested in everything related to art. I graduated as a Piano and Music Theory Teacher. In addition to my teaching qualification, I’ve also studied aspects of Composition and Contemporary Music through special courses with outstanding modern Spanish composers. Time passed and I arrived in Limerick, Ireland at the end of 2006 and I started to study arts in January 2007 with different local artists. In May 2009 I finished my education at Limerick College of Further Education, achieving the Advanced Certificate in Art level 6. Nowadays, I’m a member of the Limerick Printmakers Gallery and Studio, member of Contact Studios, and a full time artist.
I’ve been interested in everything related to art from a very young age. That makes me want to do lots of different things… and you can see it in my work. I love mix medias, work over different materials, try new things, even when they shouldn’t work… and enjoy everything I do, because that’ll be reflected in the final piece. I don’t have any theme preference… but I focus in the detail. I want to reflect the “spirit” of something, those little things that you don’t see if you don’t try to see them… and this can be a plant, a face expression, a forgotten objet, a situation… and, of course, a feeling. I could say that I try to show the macrocosms trough the microcosms.
